Comments

We do not enable comments on our web pages. There are no comments to store.

Media

We do not enable users to upload any media to our web pages. The media we use on our website is used with license. There is no media that requires you to ask it be removed.

Website

We use WordPress to create our website. We use the Astra theme. These are the top choices for website content development. This approach was selected as the way to best ensure the security and usability of our website without the potential of a coder inserting malicious code that may put you at risk.

Contacting you

We use WPForms on our contact page. These forms are part of the WordPress platform.  The form collects the information you input in the form, and repackages it as a text-only email and sends it to our primary contact address.  The form data you enter is not used to trace your behavior on our website or any third party website.

When you become a prospect of Sopra Solutions, if we have your permission to send you marketing updates, your email address may be added to the Mailchimp platform.  When you receive an email from us, the form contains a link for you to unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, you will not be added unless and until you contact us and ask us to add you. Even if you have re-subscribed, we are happy to remove you again if your needs or desires change.  The Mailchimp platform (and all other email platforms) tracks if an email was opened and acted upon, whether or not we look at the report. Using a platform like Mailchimp is the only way companies can send out emails with multiple recipients without having servers shut down for spamming and still offer a way for those recipients to opt-out or unsubscribe, which is legally required.

We chose Mailchimp because unlike most marketing automation platforms, Mailchimp does not trace your behaviors in social media and across the web. We recommend Mailchimp to others assuming they stay true to this approach.

We use our own email servers for the soprasolutions.com email domain. The emails you send to us are not stored in Gmail, G-Suite or other commodity email servers. Each member of Sopra Solutions uses multi-factor authentication to access their email accounts and the general email accounts. This is to protect you and to protect us.

If you believe your email was used inappropriately by Sopra Solutions, please contact us immediately for investigation and immediate resolution.

Cookies

There is no customer login on our website. This means that we do not need to create a cookie to enable your browser to remember your ID and password. We use very limited cookies which are part of the WordPress theme and simply used to enable forward and backward navigation of the site.  No cookies used on our site contain personal data, even when you fill out a form using WPForms (above.)

We do not use Facebook pixel. We do not believe in retargeting.

Embedded content from other websites

We do not embed content from other websites. Most third-party websites collect data about you, use cookies, embed tracking cookies, monitor your interaction with embedded content, etc. and this is against our values.  We refuse to use these services, even if it means we have to send users to other sites to have access to the information.

Analytics

We use WordPress as a platform, installed on our host, Bluehost.  Bluehost holds its data inside the continental USA (Utah) and is one of the 20th largest hosts in the world. Their webmaster administrative function automatically provides reports about web traffic volumes and sources. Because we do not use any tracking cookies, nor any marketing platforms that place tracking cookies, your usage data is fully anonymized and will not be traced back to you. For example, it may tell us that we had 15 unique visitors in a day, and may be able to identify an ISP domain or geography, but it won’t tell us explicitly who those visitors are, nor give us a way to retarget those users with advertising or marketing messages.

We do not give any vendors or third parties access to our analytics web back end.

Your data

We keep copies of emails and direct messages you send to us in order to conduct business. These transactions happen both inside the WPForms platform mentioned above and within our/your email platforms. We do not share this information with any third parties at any time. If you would like to request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, we are happy to do that. The only exception is data we are obliged to keep for administrative or legal purposes. An example of data we cannot delete is a transaction that shows us earning revenue from you that may be required for bookkeeping and tax purposes.  Likewise, if you would like us to delete direct messages from you that may be contained in LinkedIn or other platforms, we are happy to do so, yet if you are requesting to be deleted from those platforms entirely, their systems will remove that data for you.

Our values

Our values are to do everything we can to protect our prospects, customers and employees from technology that exploits them, or that leverages them without informed consent in laymen’s language that is easy to understand. We believe in organic marketing because that is what is best for people. We put people first. We realize this means it will be harder for us to build and maintain our business over the web, but in return, we know we earned that customer with integrity.

If you have any recommendations for how we can make our website or privacy practices better, please contact us.
